Procedure

Warm 1 to about 35°C. Without mixing, sprinkle 2 onto 1. When fully wetted, start mixing, heat to 80°C and add 3, 4, and 5 (sequentially or as a premix with 4 and 5 dissolved in 3). In a separate vessel combine 6 through 8 and eat to 80°C with mixing. When both phases are uniform and at 80°C, slowly add the oil phase to the water phase. Maintain strong mixing without aeration. When a uniform, small particle-size emulsion has been achieved (approx. 20 minutes), add 9 to adjust pH to about 5.5, and start cooling. Add 10 when the batch is below 50°C. When batch is uniform and at desired filling temperature, perform final quality assurance checks.
